Floating IP is a public IP address that can be instantly moved from one server to another within a Project and in the same region. When attached, the address is dedicated to a specific server, until you unassign it.
After you create a Floating IP address and assign it to your server, you may start receiving public traffic to this IP address being routed to a selected server.
Floating IP address is configured automatically upon server deployment, or server rebuild. If you add Floating IP address to a live server, you need to configure it manually or initiate server rebuild action through your Client Portal.
