The challenge
We found that maintaining in-house hardware or even renting rack space were resource-consuming and too expensive when it came to ensuring high server availability and fault-tolerance.
We were planning to launch operations in the Baltics region and our goal was to find a dedicated servers provider, which would suit our needs. We have customers from all over the world, therefore powerful hardware and bandwidth, high availability, LAN support, KVM, reliable service level, reasonable pricing and 24/7 support were our main criteria for choosing a new partner.
If we haven’t found a trustworthy server provider, we would have been compelled to employ an engineering team to enable 24/7 support and we would have experienced more significant downtimes related to hardware/networking outages. Back then our engineers were fully involved in maintenance instead of being focused on product development.
