The challenge
Being an institutional-grade web3 and staking infrastructure provider, we run a range of services from public nodes to dedicated nodes and whitelabel nodes, RPC, bridges and more. Depending on networks and client demands, we have to deploy a variety of machines in diverse locations, always bearing in mind performance, security and compliance.
When choosing a new cloud infrastructure provider we focused on the performance capabilities, flexible server configurations, infrastructure security, and geographic data centre locations to support our decentralization goals and compliance requirements from our clients.
A decision to deploy our infrastructure on bare metal was part of our network infrastructure strategy. As a profesional staking organization, we had enough resources and DevOps expertise internally to handle complex infrastructure at scale. We wanted to have enhanced control over our server environments that would help us offer a more secure staking experience, and superior performance.
We opted for bare metal infrastructure due to its consistent performance and hardware level control. Our goal was to specifically tailor our infrastructure for high-demand blockchain networks. Having full control over our infrastructure was mandatory to optimize performance, increase system uptime, as well as ensure highest compliance and security standards for our web3 services.
The Solution
Cherry Servers stood out for its performant hardware and customer service quality. While hardware performance was paramount, we also wanted to make sure that we partner a crypto-friendly company that is able to respond swiftly in case of any emergencies. A data center location in Lithuania – a clearly under-represented country for hosting blockchain nodes in Europe – caught our attention as well. As proponents of decentralization we’ve chosen to deploy our nodes in this region.
We deploy servers in many geographies, and Cherry Servers is an important partner that we are happy to rely on when it comes to operating servers in Europe and in the Baltics. Their 24/7 technical support, flexibility, and performance have all lived up to our expectations so far, making them an integral part of our infrastructure strategy to provide decentralized and secure staking services. Their commitment to choice, privacy, and transparency resonates with our core values and operational needs for networks like Sui, Aptos, and Solana.
